Fuji, and Kazumi, the first and only winery in the United States to grow and produce Koshu in Napa Valley. Both have earned recognition from the world’s most respected critics and competitions. Grace Wine

Yamanashi, Japan

Founded in 1923 in Yamanashi, Japan’s oldest and largest wine region, Grace Wine (Chuo Budoshu) is led by the Misawa family and winemaker Ayana Misawa — the first Japanese producer to win a gold medal at the Decanter awards. From its high-altitude Misawa Vineyard in Akeno, Grace Wine has redefined what Japan’s native Koshu grape can achieve on the world stage.

Trophy – Best Japanese White Wine

Japan International Wine Challenge

Awarded for the 1997 Koshu Barrel, an early milestone in establishing Koshu as a serious fine wine.

2013

First Asian Gold Medal & Regional Trophy

Decanter Asia Wine Awards

The 2012 Gris de Koshu earned the very first Asian Gold Medal and Regional Trophy at the inaugural competition.

2014

First Gold Medal & Regional Trophy for Japan

Decanter World Wine Awards

The 2013 Cuvée Misawa Akeno Koshu became the first Japanese wine to win a Gold Medal and Regional Trophy at the world’s largest wine competition. Grace Koshu went on to win Gold six years in a row.

2016

Platinum Award & Best Asian Wine

Decanter World Wine Awards

Grace Extra Brut became the first sparkling wine in Asia to achieve this honor.


Kazumi Wines

Napa Valley, California

Founded by Michelle Kazumi Sakazaki, Kazumi is the first and only winery in the United States to grow and produce Koshu wine. With acclaimed winemaker Kale Anderson at the helm since 2016, Kazumi bridges Japanese heritage and Napa Valley craftsmanship — earning high scores from leading critics and a place on Michelin-rated wine lists.
